Events: how it works

Every event has its own energy, and the coverage should match it. Whether we're documenting a quinceañera in a grand ballroom, a corporate milestone in a conference center, or a backyard graduation party, we pay close attention to the atmosphere, the details, and the unscripted moments between people. I personally photograph and guide every session. For larger events, additional photographers, videographers and content creators may be added depending on the selected package.

What Our Event Photography Coverage Includes

Event photography is not a single format, it's a spectrum of occasions, scales, and emotional registers, and we tailor what we do to exactly what you need. At one end of that spectrum are intimate private celebrations: a baby shower in a family home, a milestone birthday dinner at a local restaurant, a small graduation gathering after the ceremony. These sessions call for a quieter, more observational approach, we move through the room without disrupting the energy, capturing the laughter, the toasts, the in-between moments that nobody staged but everyone will want to remember.

At the other end are large-scale events with moving parts: corporate gatherings, community festivals, quinceañeras with a full court, graduation parties with extended family pouring in from out of town. These events demand both a wide editorial eye and the discipline to be in the right place at the right time, when the honoree sees the cake for the first time, when the CEO takes the stage, when the group photo finally comes together. We read the room, anticipate what's coming, and stay ready.

Across all of it, we pay equal attention to the atmosphere and the details. The florals someone spent months choosing. The custom signage. The candlelit centerpieces. The spread on the table before the guests arrive. These environmental details are as much a part of the story as the faces, and they're often what people forget to photograph in the moment.

Every package includes all professionally edited images, not a curated handful, but the complete, polished gallery your event deserves. We work in a range of South Florida settings, from the master-planned venues of western Broward County to the urban event spaces of Fort Lauderdale and Miami, and we're equally comfortable in a private home, a hotel ballroom, an outdoor pavilion, or a rented community clubhouse. Destination and out-of-state coverage is also available for events that take us beyond the region.

Coverage is structured by time, so you choose the duration that fits your event's schedule, and if the night runs long, additional time can be added. No surprises, no pressure, just honest work and a result you're glad you paid for.

How Event Photography Pricing Is Structured

Event photography pricing is built around time, how long we're with you, how complex the event is, and what the coverage needs to accomplish. Because no two events are the same, we encourage every prospective client to reach out so we can understand the scope before quoting. The factors below are the primary levers that shape what coverage costs.

  • Duration of Coverage: Time on-site is the single biggest driver of cost. A one-hour highlight session for an intimate gathering has a very different scope than four hours covering a quinceañera from the private pre-ceremony portraits through the last group dance. We offer coverage in hourly increments, and additional hours can be added if your event runs longer than planned.
  • Event Scale and Complexity: A forty-person birthday dinner in a single room is a very different logistical challenge than a two-hundred-person corporate gala across multiple floors with a cocktail hour, a program, and a reception. Larger guest counts, multiple rooms or venues, and complex timelines all require more active coordination and may influence the overall scope of coverage recommended.
  • Number of Photographers: For most events, one photographer handles the full coverage seamlessly. For larger weddings and high-attendance events, additional photographers, videographers, or content creators may be added to the package. The more coverage points you want simultaneously, a speaker on stage while candids happen on the dance floor, the more it makes sense to have additional team members present.
  • Venue and Travel: Events held at nearby South Florida venues involve minimal travel overhead. Events at locations further afield, destination celebrations, out-of-state gatherings, may include travel time and logistics that factor into the overall package. We're glad to travel for the right event; just let us know what you have in mind.
  • Edited Deliverable Volume: All professionally edited images from the session are included, this isn't a package where you receive only a handful of selects. Longer events with more coverage hours naturally produce larger galleries, and that editing investment is reflected in the time-based pricing structure.

Who Books Our Event Photography, and Why

Event clients come to us from very different circumstances, but they share one thing: they want to look back at photos that actually feel like the event, not stiff snapshots or blurry phone pictures. Here are some of the situations we hear most often.

  • The Quinceañera Family: You've been planning this celebration for over a year, the dress, the court, the venue, the choreography. You need a photographer who understands how a quinceañera flows and will be in position for every key moment, from the changing of shoes to the last waltz.
  • The Corporate Event Organizer: Your company has a gala, product launch, or team milestone coming up and needs professional images for marketing, internal communications, and social media. You want someone reliable who doesn't need hand-holding on the day, just results you can actually use.
  • The Graduation Party Host: The ceremony photos are handled, but the backyard party afterward is where the real celebration happens, family flying in, childhood friends reuniting, grandparents who rarely get photographed. You want someone there to capture it all without making it feel like a photo shoot.
  • The Shower Planner: You've put real thought into the decor, the florals, the custom details, and you don't want those things to go undocumented. A baby or bridal shower moves fast and the details disappear quickly. You want photography that captures both the setup and the people before the day is over.
  • The Milestone Birthday Celebrant: A 30th, 40th, 50th, or beyond, you're throwing a dinner or party worth remembering. Your guests won't be holding their phones up all night, and neither should you. Having a photographer there means you're fully present while someone else handles the documentation.
  • The Out-of-Town Event: Your family event or corporate function is happening outside South Florida, another city, another state. You need a photographer you can trust to show up prepared, communicate clearly in advance, and deliver without you needing to manage them remotely.
  • The Community or Nonprofit Organizer: Your organization hosts an annual fundraiser, awards night, or community festival. You need coverage that tells the story of the event, the energy, the speakers, the sponsors, the people, for your newsletter, your donors, and your next year's promotional materials.

Understanding Event Photography Pricing

Event photography in South Florida is priced primarily by time, the duration of coverage is the foundation, with complexity, team size, and travel layered on top. Because the region hosts such a wide variety of events, from the intimate gatherings in Pembroke Pines and Coral Springs to large quinceañeras in Fort Lauderdale ballrooms and corporate functions in Miami, pricing needs to reflect the real scope of what's being asked. A short highlight session for a small shower is a very different engagement than four hours of full-coverage photography at a multi-generational birthday celebration or a company gala. We structure coverage in hourly increments so you can book what your event actually needs and add time if the celebration runs longer than expected. The best way to understand what your event will cost is to reach out and tell us what you have in mind, we'll ask the right questions and give you a clear, straightforward answer. No pressure, no vague estimates, just up-front pricing based on what the work actually involves.

  • All professionally edited images are included with every package, no additional editing fees.
  • Additional coverage hours can be added if your event runs longer than the booked time.
  • Destination and out-of-state events may include travel logistics, ask us about availability and planning.

Frequently asked questions

For popular dates, especially during the dry season from November through April when South Florida's event calendar is at its busiest, booking four to eight weeks out is a good target. Quinceañeras and larger corporate events often benefit from even earlier planning, since they involve more coordination around timing and coverage needs. That said, if you have a last-minute event, reach out anyway, we'll let you know our availability honestly.
Yes. Destination and out-of-state event coverage is available. If your celebration or corporate function is happening in another city or state, get in touch with the details, date, location, and scope, and we'll talk through what's involved. We're experienced at communicating clearly in advance so the logistics are handled before we arrive, not on the day.
I personally photograph and guide every session. For larger events, particularly weddings and high-attendance celebrations, additional photographers, videographers, and content creators may be added depending on the selected package. You'll always know exactly who's showing up and what to expect before the event day.
All professionally edited images from your session are included, this is a complete gallery, not a curated handful of selects. The exact number depends on event duration, guest count, and the pace of the coverage, but you won't be left wondering if you got enough. Turnaround timing will be communicated clearly when you book, so you're not left waiting without knowing what to expect.
Yes. Coverage is structured in hourly increments and additional time can be added if your event runs over. We'd rather stay and capture the end of the night than leave when the best moments are still happening. Just flag it with us in advance when possible, and we'll make sure the coverage fits your actual timeline, not just the one on the invitation.
Both, and we consider the details as important as the candids. The florals, signage, centerpieces, and table settings that someone put real effort into deserve to be documented before guests arrive and the space gets lived in. We make a point of photographing the environment early in the coverage window, then shift focus to the people, the program, and the unscripted moments as the event unfolds.
We cover a wide range: quinceañeras, sweet sixteens, milestone birthdays, graduation parties, baby and bridal showers, gender reveals, corporate events, galas, product launches, community gatherings, and nonprofit fundraisers. If your event has people, a meaningful occasion, and moments worth preserving, we're well-suited to cover it. Reach out with your event details and we'll give you a straightforward sense of how we'd approach it.
